LSC ICB VCFSE Partner Member
Date posted: 30th April 2026Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB have revised its Board membership to include the addition of a VCFSE Partner Member from 1 April 2026. This new position will be a full member of the unitary board rather than a regular participant.
Tracy Hopkins, LSC VCFSE Alliance Chair
"I'm pleased to share that I have recently joined the Integrated Care Board (ICB) as a Partner Member, bringing the insights, experience and strengths of the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector at the highest level of decision‑making in our health and care system.
The ICB is reshaping how it works — with a stronger focus on strategic commissioning, prevention, neighbourhood models, and tackling inequalities — and it is essential that the voices of communities, and the organisations closest to them, are part of that conversation from the very beginning.
As the system evolves, so too must the VCFSE Alliance. Over the next twelve months we will be working to ensure the VCFSE Alliance is fit for the future
This means:
-
having the right people around the table
-
being clear about our direction of travel
-
strengthening our governance and leadership
-
ensuring we can confidently represent the breadth and diversity of the sector
The Alliance has already shown what is possible when we work together with purpose and clarity. The next phase is about building on that foundation — ensuring we remain a trusted, strategic partner to the ICB and a strong advocate for the communities we serve.
I’m committed to using this new role to champion the VCFSE sector, highlight the value we bring, and ensure that community voices shape the decisions that affect them. I look forward to working closely with colleagues across the Alliance as we continue to strengthen our collective influence and prepare for the opportunities ahead.
Together, we can ensure that the VCFSE sector remains a central and respected partner in improving health and wellbeing across Lancashire and South Cumbria."
