The Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector across Lancashire and South Cumbria includes a diverse range of organisations - from small, volunteer-led groups and local faith communities to large charities and social enterprises supporting thousands of people.

Together, these organisations play a vital role in supporting health and wellbeing. They help individuals and families stay well, build strong community connections, and access the support they need to live independently and feel valued.

The LSC VCFSE Alliance brings these organisations together, creating a collective voice for the sector. Its purpose is to strengthen equitable, meaningful, and effective partnership working between the wider VCFSE sector, public sector, and health and care. The Alliance acts as a collective voice, ensuring that the sector’s insight, expertise, and community connections shape priorities across Lancashire and South Cumbria (LSC).

The Alliance is made up of representatives from across the VCFSE sector. Day-to-day secretariat functions, operations and delivery is supported by one Alliance staff member.
