Let's get personal - Lancashire and South Cumbria co-production group
26th March 2019
The Let's get personal Lancashire and South Cumbria co-production group are looking for people with long-term conditions, including disabled people who have lived experience of having more personalised approaches to their healthcare. Personalised care approaches focus on what matters to you and give you more choice and control over your mental and physical healthcare.
This can include giving you a choice in the care you receive, being offered the opportunity to have personal health budgets where appropriate, social prescribing and supported self-management.
The Let's get personal group meet monthly to look at ways of improving the experience of people who use health and social care services in Lancashire and South Cumbria.
The sessions provide an opportunity to:
- Learn about what personalised care is and what it is trying to achieve
- Meet like-minded people
- Help to improve people’s experience of health and social care
- Connect with local decision makers.
A light lunch and refreshments are included for everyone who attends the sessions.

About personalised care
The widely accepted definition of personalised care is that people have choice and control over the way their care is planned and delivered, based on what matters to them and their individual strengths and needs.
