Each Integrated Care Board (ICB) has a voluntary sector alliance. The Alliances brings together all of the VCFSE organisations within the ICB, enabling them to collectively inform and shape the ICB into a system which works for everyone. The Lancashire and South Cumbria VCFSE Alliance is our VCFSE Alliance, and aims to ensure that the VCFSE sector is embedded at all levels of our Integrated Care Board (ICB).
As a valued partner within the Integrated Care Board (ICB), the Lancashire and South Cumbria VCFSE Alliance plays an important role in helping to shape and influence the design and delivery of services - from neighbourhood and place-based levels right through to strategic decision making - ensuring the ICB reflects and responds to the needs of all our communities.
The L&SC VCFSE Alliance is made up of key organisations that lead and deliver the integration of the VCFSE sector within the Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB structures.
The Alliance members work as an integrated part of the ICB, enabling the VCFSE sector to influence and shape the design and delivery of services. The VCFSE Alliance provides extensive expertise and reach into communities, particularly those the NHS finds difficult to connect with.
The Alliance offers VCFSE organisations the opportunity to participate at whatever level they feel is appropriate, with the ability for organisations to move between levels of involvement as capacity, interest, and relevance dictate.
The aims of our VCFSE Alliance.
Our vision is to improve the lives of people in our communities across Lancashire and South Cumbria, by developing an effective, transformative partnership between the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) and the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise sector.
To be an effective transformation partner, the VCFSE sector across Lancashire and South Cumbria will be Connected, Influential, and Supported in health and care integration and beyond.
We will utilise the strength, flexibility, responsiveness, innovation and knowledge of the sector to be a permanent transformation partner.
