Patients who have had a video consultation with their GP practice needed to take part in research.

Date posted: 28th July 2020

Have you had a video consultation with your GP?

We’re currently seeking patients from across Lancashire and South Cumbria to take part in research and tell us their thoughts about video consultations. If you’ve had a video consultation arranged by your GP practice, perhaps instead of a face to face appointment during COVID-19, and you’d like to get involved, please contact Angelo.

The research is being undertaken by students at Lancaster University, and participants will take part in a one-to-one, online interview which will last up to 45 minutes.

Your experiences are important and will help us ensure that we continue to use this technology in the right way, at the right time, going forward. A number of GP practices had already started to offer video calls before the outbreak and the technology has since been rapidly rolled out. Most are now doing video consultations with patients and have the technology to offer them in the future. You can find out more about video consultations and the work happening across Lancashire and South Cumbria on digital health here.
