Healthwatch Lancashire hosted a public event on Tuesday 12th September to give members of the public the opportunity to question leaders from the STP in Lancashire and South Cumbria, known as Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria are working with local Healthwatch to deliver a series of ‘Understanding Changes in the NHS’ events. It is hoped that these will give people an opportunity to find out more about the work of Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Clinical leaders from the programme attended to answer questions about the work which is underway to provide services that are fit for now and the future which means improving the quality of care people receive, improving the health in our communities and making best use of financial resources. We hope to publish any details of the questions which were asked, responses and a report from local Healthwatch shortly.

These events are not only a great opportunity to find what changes are taking place, but also to ensure that local people’s views are heard when it comes to changing how care is delivered locally.

If you have a question you would like to ask Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria, you can ask it here.
