‘No Smoking Day’ 10 March 2021
10th March 2021
Smokers in Lancashire are being urged to make No Smoking Day (10 March) the day to start their ‘smokefree’ journey by contacting the Quit Squad, your local stop smoking service, for support to quit.
In Lancashire, there are around 133,000 adult smokers and Quit Squad is here to provide specialist advice and support if you want to quit.
Whether this is your first attempt or you want to try to quit again, Quit Squad can support you. No matter how long you have smoked for and no matter how many cigarettes you smoke a day, you can do it.
Some of the benefits of quitting are immediate whilst others are longer-term and it’s not just your physical health that gets the benefit of a ‘smokefree’ life.
Quitting also benefits your mental health by improving your mood and helping relieve stress, anxiety and depression. Financially, on average, a smoker who smokes 20 cigarettes per day would save at least £340 per month by quitting.
Tracy Sutton, Quit Squad Manager, explains:
“National No Smoking Day is a great opportunity to set your goal to stop smoking so let us take the stress out of quitting for you. By connecting with Quit Squad, you have access to our free advice and support as well as a range of stop smoking products.
