Doctors, nurses and medical professionals in Lancashire and South Cumbria came together to celebrate innovation and transformation at an event with Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, national medical director for NHS England, on Friday 24th November.

The Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria event included presentations and panel discussions looking at primary care for tomorrow and secondary care for the future.

An innovation market place at the event showcased examples of technology that is enabling new ways of working, best practice and system-wide collaboration that are improving outcomes and patient experience.

Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, the outgoing national medical director for NHS England, visited Lancashire on his birthday to attend the event and gave a keynote speech which celebrated innovation in the NHS for almost 70 years.

Professor Sir Bruce Keogh gave the following message for doctors, nurses and medical professionals who attended the event and for those working across Lancashire and south Cumbria.
