DESMOND
DESMOND (Diabetes Education and Self-Management for Ongoing and Newly Diagnosed) is a highly-recommended, free and fun group session delivered by specially-trained NHS health professionals for people with Type 2 diabetes.
DESMOND is a great way to understand your diabetes, improve your ability to manage the condition and your blood sugar levels. You should come away from your session with the knowledge and confidence to improve your overall health and wellbeing.
DESMOND sessions are completely free and run for either one 6-hour session or two 3-hour sessions. They are delivered to groups of up to 10 people like you diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and you can also bring along a friend or partner to your session. DESMOND sessions are delivered in English, Urdu or Gujarati.
