Mental health

Working with communities to improve the mental health, resilience and wellbeing of people in Lancashire and South Cumbria is important to us.

Our ambition in Lancashire and South Cumbria is that mental health and wellbeing is considered of equal importance to physical health in all of our communities. When people require more support, they should be able to access an effective range of age-appropriate mental health services. At present, there is variation in access, provision and clinical outcomes.

If you are in crisis and need help and support straight away you can:

  • call the mental health crisis line on 0800 953 0110,
  • contact the wellbeing helpline and texting services on 0800 915 4640 or by texting 'Hello' to 07860 022846 or,
  • dial 999 if you have harmed yourself.
