LSC Metastatic Spinal Cord Compression (MSCC)                     Clinical Reference Group (CRG)

Dr Catherine Mitchell, Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Mr Arup Ray Consultant Neuro Surgeon, from Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, are Co-Chairs of the Lancashire & South Cumbria Metastatic Spinal Cord Compression (MSCC) Clinical Reference Group (CRG).

The MSCC CRG is a reporting sub-group of the Lancashire & South Cumbria Acute Oncology Network Group.

The role and purpose of the MSCC CRG is to improve the experience and outcomes for MSCC patients in the Lancashire & South Cumbria footprint. This involves consideration of strategies and plans for service improvement and service development across the patient pathway, incorporating all aspects of care at appropriate stages of the patient's journey. The aim is to achieve the best possible outcomes and best quality of life for all patients who use MSCC services within the Alliance.
