Book a covid-19 vaccination appointment

This page includes information about how to book an appointment at vaccination centres in Lancashire and South Cumbria.

The NHS and our partners across Lancashire and South Cumbria are working tirelessly to safely vaccinate as many people as possible in line with national JCVI priority guidance and it is clear we must do all we can to protect the most vulnerable in our community from the virus. The JCVI guidance prioritises those who are most at risk from contracting Covid-19 from those providing care and does not prioritise based on any key worker roles.

If you are not eligible please do not to book an appointment as it will waste the appointment and waste an opportunity for an older or vulnerable person to receive the vaccine or someone else who is eligible. When using the national booking system you need to make a declaration that you are eligible and will need to provide evidence and identification at a vaccination service. If you are not able to evidence that you are eligible, you will be turned away.

Booking for over 60s

In line with national guidance, we are vaccinating people within the following groups:

  1. Residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
  2. All those 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers
  3. 75-79 year-olds
  4. 70-74 year-olds and the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable under 70
  5. 60 years and over

If you are within one of these groups above, have received a letter about your Covid Vaccination or if you have previously received a shielding letter from the NHS please use the national booking system by visiting www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination (opens in a new window) or call 119 to book your appointment.

Health and Social Care Workers

Front line health and adult social care workers can now book their Covid-19 vaccination directly through the national booking system.

This currently does not include teachers and early years practitioners or staff from special schools unless they individually provide face-to-face care to clinically extremely vulnerable children.

Please visit www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination (opens in a new window).  You will need to bring your work ID with you to you appointment.

If you are not eligible please do not to book an appointment as it will waste the appointment and waste an opportunity for an older or vulnerable person to receive the vaccine or someone else who is eligible.
