Immunisations

Some vaccines, such as the inactivated seasonal flu vaccine and the whooping cough vaccine, are recommended during pregnancy to protect the health of you and your baby. An inactivated vaccine does not contain a live version of the virus it is protecting against.

Find out more information about immunisations is available on the NHS website (opens in new window)

It is important that you and your family still have routine vaccinations. They protect against serious and potentially deadly illnesses. Contact your GP practice for more information. More information about vaccinations is also available on the NHS website
