Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria

Friday 16th June 2017

10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Do you want to learn how the latest technology could support your local transformation? If so, come and join a series of events being conducted in partnership with Lancaster University, The Innovation Agency and Amazon. These linked sessions give an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) and Data Analytics to use them in a ‘hack’ to solve your service problems. You can also win some great prizes including Amazon Echo and Dots! So, whether you are clinician or a data scientist, if you think technology might help improve services, you should join us at the Inspiration Workshop on 16th June 2017 to see what is possible. From there great ideas will then be taken forward to an ‘Envisaging Event’ to explore possibilities and then onto a ‘Hack’* to use these technologies to work on your own transformation solutions. Full details below:

What: The hack event runs over a day and a half, where technical experts will be on hand to help solve the problems brought by frontline staff and citizens in order to turn them in to real-life solutions built on Amazon’s technology. We look forward to seeing you there!

“A hackathon is an event where people from different backgrounds and expertise form teams, collaborate within a limited time frame, and focus on a specific problem or idea in healthcare to come up with innovative, disruptive ideas and solutions. By bringing together diverse minds, with the common goal of solving healthcare’s biggest challenges, problems can be diagnosed from multiple different perspectives”. - The Innovation Agency

* Anyone wishing to attend the Hack should have ideally contributed to the Envisaging Workshop
