What is Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria?
In December 2017 the government published a green paper, Transforming Children and Young People’s Mental Health Provision. It focuses on earlier intervention and prevention - particularly in schools and colleges. The Green Paper sets out the ambition that children and young people who need help for their mental health are able to get it when they need it.
The proposed new approach in the Green Paper has three elements, and will initially be piloted in ‘trailblazer areas’:
